Washington : Administration

Washington is ranked 13th among the 50 states of United States. Washington is located in Pacific Northwest region of United States located south of British Columbia. Washington is 42nd state admitted to the union of United States in 1889. Washington’s state constitution consists of three government branches: the legislative, the executive and the judiciary branch. The executive branch is headed by the Governor elected for four-year term. The Supreme Court of Washington is the highest court in the state which comprises of nine judges elected statewide. The state legislative body consists of Washington General Assembly which consists of two parts the House of Representatives with 65-members and the35-members as Senators. Senators serve four-year term while Representatives serve two-year term.

Department of Natural Resources: The Department is responsible for ensuring the quality of life in the state of Washington by managing and protecting the natural resources like state parks, oil and gas mining, wildlife resources, water bodies and forests in order to sustain the natural beauty and heritage of the state for present and future generations.

Department of Transportation: The Washington Department of Transportation constructs and maintains highways, bridges, roads, railroads, seaways, airways and mass transit systems for the safe, efficient and faster movement of people and goods.
