Introduction Bellingham is a seat of Whatcom County located 90 miles north of Seattle, 50 miles south of Vancouver, British Columbia, and 20 miles from the Canadian border at Baline.The city is named after Sir William Bellingham, the director of stores for the British Admiralty. The renovated old, historic buildings, views of the water and the mountain, and gorgeous sunsets make for a picture-postcard setting.
Bellingham enjoys a mild, maritime climate with temperatures ranging from 30 to 50 degrees in winter, 45 to 60 degrees in spring and fall, and 60 to 80 degrees in summer. Most days have at least partial sunshine and snow. Sleet and hail occur only about 15 days per year.
