Introduction Everett is a city in Snohomish County, in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area covering a total area of 123.4 km² (47.7 mi²). 84.2 km² (32.5 mi²) of it is land and 39.2 km² (15.1 mi²) of it is water. The community was named after Everett Colby, son of promoter Charles L. Colby. Everett is on the Snohomish River, 25 miles north of Seattle.
The climate is mild with cool and dry summers and mild and wet winters. Mean annual precipitation ranges from 30 to 50 inches. The average annual temperature is 50 degrees F.
