Kent is a city in King County, in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area located on the Green County.

The City of Kent is presently the largest city in South King County covering a total area of of 73.2 km² (28.3 mi²). 72.6 km² (28.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.85% water.Seattle and Tacoma borders the city of Kent.

Kent experiences a mild climate with an annual precipitation of 39 inches. The average winter temperature is 40.8 degrees F while that is summer is 66.5 degrees F.
